The University of Colorado Boulder announced Mark would be giving a special presentation at their International Affairs Spring Reception and speaking at the Conference on World Affairs
Mark told LBC there’s been no evidence to establish that the infliction of abuse or pain or torture would result in the acquisition of accurate or reliable information and that it is counter productive, as it hardens resistance and results in tainted or flawed intelligence.

Mark and HIG Director Frazier Thompson were interviewed about the importance of lawful, humane and scientifically informed interrogations. Mark emphasized the importance by referencing to statistics from the Innocence Project on false confessions.

Mark told USA Today:”Many of us made our bones by getting bad guys to confess to crimes. We’re challenging that identity by suggesting that you may not have been as effective as you think,”
